WHERE IS THE LOVE? AND BRING ON THE BUSH/CHENEY COMBO FOR FOUR MORE YEARS!!!
Ok, so, it's definitely (thank you katie, for teaching me the proper spelling...there is NO "a" in that word!) after 2 am...and I've become addicted to the random songs pouring into my ears from my headphones...I'm psyched that I get to vote for the President tomorrow, I'm freaked about my piano lesson and my Religion paper...but, eh...life will go on....
I'm happy.. I'm content...It's good to have things resolved, and even in a better state than before, with friends that you are afraid you were going to lose forever... when you think you've come to a bitter and unresolvable end... that you were mad at, but missed so greatly at the same time...but suddenly you find yourselves more comfortable in your friendship than you had been in awhile...and you find yourself so much happier b/c you see them truly content in the new joy that they have found, whether or not it's in you. It's a good feeling. :) Forgiveness is such a freeing feeling....and much more fun to live with...
I got to sing at the Jazz afterglow Friday night. I even got flowers! :) There's something so petrifying about performing a jazz solo in front of over a hundred people for the first time ever...you are half totally sure that you'll get through without a problem, half terrified, half totally pumped that everyone in that room is listening to *you*...Thanks to God and my parents for the gift of song, and all the time, energy and money they've put into my singing career... music brings me so much joy it's impossible to describe.
It's great to see my roomie happy doing her own thing, too. Dance your heart out, my dancing queen!!
It's awesome to make new friends...and keep up with particularly 4 from highschool who mean the world to me, and some from my amazing summer job...kids...you know i love you so much!!
Well, i've gots to be going. That paper due on Wednesday sure ain't writing itself...so i must excuse myself. Leave a comment, if you'd be so kind. ;)
sweet dreams.

loving the fact that they just gave Bush Ohio... and *definitely* (spelled right, huh? yay!) liking the idea of going back down to watch more of the election, but i had to come up to read your post before i forgot ;)
yay for you singing jazz solos and me dancing around in my soft shoes and us way too much sugar and watching Bush kick some butt!!! :) oh yeah, and yay for dinner tonight... wink wink! ;)
*love and hugs*
good job on the jazz solo, friend! even though i wasn't there i know you sounded _beautiful_. (remember when you took pity on me and tried to teach me how to sing like a real mother abbess? you are amazing! i would give you flowers too if i was in michigan right now!) anyway, i think i actually do understand how much joy music brings you, and i'm really glad you have so many opportunities to perform and study it at hillsdale. that is very cool. :) i miss you and love you lots!
love, sara
