My mind is like an ever-shifting tide...deep one moment, shallow the next:
"Let he without sin cast the first stone" - The literal and proverbial stone-casting of our day in age...in Iran and in our own lives.
Oil spills and oily personalities.
National law versus freedom of the states (Arizona). What's next?
Cars and repairs.
The never-ending excess of consumerism.
Coffee. Yum.
God's incomparable, and frankly way past incomprehensible love for us. And to juxtapose it - my failure of reflecting it every day.
Truth vs. omission of fact vs. lying vs. openness vs. honesty vs. our personal veiwpoints vs. the bigger picture. (yes, all one web of ideas in my head. this one might keep me awake at night.)
Lemon trees, strawberry pots, miracle grow, tomato plants.
My very own Sperrys.
Next school year and still cleaning up from last.
Book reading list of the summer - 1/4 of the Bible, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (done), The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner (done), Sea of Monsters (Sequel to the Lightning Thief), The Firm, To Kill a Mockingbird (50th Anniversary!), Sacred Marriage, and whatever else remains unfinished on my bookshelf...
Weddings, weddings, weddings... hair, makeup, invitations, rehearsal dinners...
An art piece that's still in my head, and hopefully will be on my wall before the end of August...
new beginnings, people moving on, new jobs, year 3 of my job...
joy, love, fighting hate (not in the peace-loving, hipster-idealistic, not-me-but- them sort of way of my generation...just fighting the hate that rages in my very own heart sort of way), and lastly, just dealing with life as an adult. It's rough. But you gotta do...and Christ will pull me through it all - and in a way that's above and beyond my wildest expectations.
It's gonna be a crazy ride... hold on to your hats, folks. We'll make it through.
